MOSCOW, March 14 (AVN) - The Moscow military district council has decided to petition Defence Minister Igor Sergeyev for firing Major-General Alexander Semakin from the post of Moscow region military commissioner, a high-ranking official of the General Staff told the Military News Agency on Wednesday.
Asked to elaborate on the petition, the official said, "The Moscow military district leadership and several departments of the General Staff have a lot of complaints about General Alexander Semakin, but comments will be made after Marshal Igor Sergeyev makes a decision."
The district's press service declined to confirm or deny that the district council had decided to file a petition for firing Semakin.
