PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, April 3 (AVN) - The Kamchatka state maritime inspection fined three foreign vessels for violating Russian environmental laws in the fishing area, a spokesman for the North-eastern regional border guard department told the Military News Agency on Tuesday.
In particular, border guards inspected the Ming Chang trawler (home port Zhuoshuan, China) fishing in the Sea of Okhotsk. It turned out that the vessel failed to report daily average catch. The vessel was fined over USD1,000. Another Chinese trawler, Ming Ru, was fined in the same area the next day for disposal of hazardous substance.
The Golden Discovery (home port Pusan, South Korea) violated the rules of checkpoint passage and was fined over USD1,000.
