URUS-MARTAN, Chechnya, April 17 (AVN) - Servicemen of the military commandant's office in the Urus-Martan district led by Colonel Gaidar Gadzhiyev have eliminated a cache with arms and ammunition during a special operation, a duty serviceman of the office told the Military News Agency on Tuesday.
Guerrillas made a cache in one of the houses on the outskirts of the district centre. It contained large calibre machine-guns in an original package, two boxes of F-1 grenade launchers (40 pieces), 20 RGM grenades, three 5.45mm Kalashnikov assault rifles, six under-barrel grenade launchers, 14 filled magazines for them, 42 grenades for under-barrel grenade launchers, as well as five RPG-7 grenade launcher rounds, 30 rounds for RPG-18 grenade launchers, 1,780 7.62mm cartridges, a 152mm artillery shell, 42 electronic detonators and four remote controls for landmines. Also in the cache were a set of equipment for radio-controlled landmines, 4kg of plastic explosive, a notebook in Russian with landmine planting and detonating instructions, and several videotapes.
