PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, April 18 (AVN) - An inspection of the Navy Staff and Pacific Fleet headquarters has started checking Troops and Forces of the Russian North-east, a spokesman troops headquarters told the Military News Agency on Wednesday.
Over 70 generals, admirals and officers will operate in almost all units, offices and organisations of the group for one week, the spokesman said.
The majority of inspectors is checking vessels and units of the 16th operational submarine squadron under command of Vice Admiral Alexander Neshcheret. The number of emergency situations has recently increased in the squadron.
Konstantin Pulikovsky, Russian President Vladimir Putin's envoy to the Far Eastern federal district, also arrived in the Kamchatka Peninsula to visit units and vessels of the group.
