SAMARA, Volga Region, April 25 (AVN) - A motorised rifle regiment of the Volga military district stationed in the city of Orenburg will start practising recruitment of reservists on Wednesday, a spokesman for the district told the Military News Agency.
District commander Colonel-General Anatoly Sergeyev is to head the exercise, the spokesman said. Sergeyev will leave for the Totsky testing ground on Thursday to check readiness of missile troops and artillery units and formations. In particular, he will check operations of combat crews, as well as accuracy of fire. Fire will be conducted from Tochka-U missile systems and weapons of the regiment's artillery battalion.
