RUSSIAN PM ORDERS TO ELABORATE NATIONAL TECHNOLOGICAL BASE PROGRAMME

MOSCOW, May 3 (AVN) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov has ordered to work out the draft of the National Technological Base federal purpose-oriented programme for 2002-2006, a spokesman for the government information department told the Military News Agency on Thursday.

The programme's elaboration will be handled by the Ministry of Industry, Science and Technologies as well as by the Ministries of Finance, Atomic Energy, Education, Natural Resources, State Construction Committee, Russian Aerospace Agency, Agencies of Ammunition, Shipbuilding, Conventional Arms and Control Systems.

The Ministry of Industry, Science and Technologies will be the state customer and the programme's coordinator while the Ministries of Atomic Energy, Education, Natural Resources, State Construction Committee, Russian Aerospace Agency, Agencies of Ammunition, Shipbuilding, Conventional Arms and Control Systems will be state customers.

The draft is to be submitted to the Russian government for approval in the second quarter of 2001 in accordance with Kasyanov's order.
