MOSCOW, May 8 (AVN) - Institutions of higher learning of the Interior Ministries of the CIS and Baltic states will get an access to the common information base of the Russian Interior Ministry's educational institutions, head of the Interior Ministry main personnel department Major General Alexander Strelnikov told the Military News Agency on Tuesday.
The base is being developed by merging the department's former Information and scientific-methodological backing centre with the analysis and forecast section, said Strelnikov.
Co-operation between the CIS law-enforcement agencies in the sphere of education has such a wide range that they are planning to set up the CIS Interior Ministries Academy and dissertation boards consisting of scientists and specialists working in former Soviet republics. The parties are also planning to develop a common education standard in the Law-enforcement Activity qualification and carry out other projects in the field of educational integration. Many issues of this plan have already been discussed and approved at the level of the CIS Interior Ministries' leadership, Strelnikov said.
