THREE REBELS KILLED IN SHOOTOUT IN CHECHNYA'S DYSHNE-VEDENO VILLAGE

KHANKALA, May 21 (AVN) - The unified federal headquarters in the North Caucasus has registered several clashes with guerrillas in the past 24 hours, a spokesman for the headquarters said on Monday..

The Interior Ministry troops engaged two rebels in the Dyshne-Vedeno village, the spokesman told the Military News Agency. One of the rebels was eliminated, but the other managed to escape. The killed had on him an assault rifle, a portable anti-tank grenade launcher, 0.2kg TNT, 15m of electric wire and an electric detonator.

Two more guerrillas were eliminated in a shootout in the village Prigorodnoye. Two assault rifles and six grenades were taken form them.

Federal sappers disarmed three landmines a motorway near Gudermes. One of them was extremely powerful and consisted of four 152mm artillery shells.
