KOVROV, Vladimir Region, May 23 (AVN) - The Dyagtyaryov plant which is a part of the New Programmes and Concepts holding company will exhibit the new Kord tank machine-gun at the VTTV-Omsk 2001 international arms show, a spokesman for the enterprise's administration told the Military News Agency on Wednesday.
The machine-gun is made for hitting light-armoured land, air and naval targets as well as the enemy's manpower. The weapon uses 12.7mm cartridges with armour igniting and armour igniting tracing rounds. The rate of fire is 650 to 750 rounds per minute.
The machine-gun has the left-side and right-side belt advance. It also boasts an electric trigger for remote fire control, mechanical open sight which enables to conduct adjusted fire at ranges of up to 2,000 metres. Optical and night sights can be mounted on the machine-gun as well. The weapon's weight is 25.5kg.
The plant will also demonstrate the AGS-30 grenade launcher, Kornet-E anti-tank missile shell, Igla portable surface-to-air missile system, Udar revolver and other equipment at the show.
