KALININGRAD, May 24 (AVN) - Ivan Rog, driver of an Icarus bus, who is to blame in the Wednesday crash at an unguarded railway crossing near the Ovrazhnoye village, Russia's Kaliningrad region, was taken to the detention centre from hospital after getting medical aid, prosecutor of the Chernyakhovsk town Andrei Krivets told the Military News Agency.
According to the prosecutor, the driver will be charged with violation of the traffic rules and vehicle operation rules that resulted in death of people on Thursday.
At present the death toll of the crash makes 14 people. Eight passengers of Rog's bus died on the spot and six in hospital. The oldest of them was 78 and the youngest 21. As many as 10 injured are being treated in the Chernyakhovsk district hospital and five in the garrison military hospital. Doctors say that one of the injured in in extremely serious condition and another four in grave condition.
