CHILDREN OF KILLED RUSSIAN POLICEMEN TO TRAVEL TO ITALY ON VACATION

ST.PETERSBURG, June 7 (AVN) - Fifteen children of Russian Interior Ministry officers killed on duty, including in Chechnya, will leave on vacation to Italy late this week, a spokesman for trip organisers told the Military News Agency on Thursday.

Children of killed policemen have already had vacations in Italy twice. The trips, including the upcoming one, are organised by the St. Petersburg regional office of the International Police Association and the police department of Italy's Verona.

Russians aged seven to 14 will live in families of Italian policemen for more than a month, Gennady Shaposhnikov, association official, told the Agency. All expenses on plane tickets, food and entertainment will be covered by Italy.

According to the St. Petersburg police department, over 200 families of policemen killed on duty are living in the city and the Leningrad region.
