ULYANOVSK, Volga Region, June 14 (AVN) - A regional industrial conference on development of the local Volodarsky machine-building plant took place in Ulyanovsk on Thursday in accordance with a directive of Deputy Prime Minister Ilya Klebanov.
The conference involved Ulyanovsk region Governor Vladimir Shamanov, member of the Federation Council upper house of parliament Alexander Kalita, chief federal inspector in the Ulyanovsk region Valery Sychev, First Deputy Director of the Russian Conventional Arms Agency Valery Rychkov, officials of the Defence Ministry, Ministry of Industry, Science and Technologies, Rosoboronexport state-owned arms trader and other interested departments and organisations.
The participants discussed measures aimed at pulling the plant out of the crisis, increasing the share of the state defence order in the total production volume, transferring social infrastructure of the enterprise to municipal authorities and granting purpose-oriented loads for financing a series of promising projects.
