LE BOURGET, France, June 19 (AVN) - The European Airbus consortium demonstrates at the Paris Air Show its new A-340-600 plane which is currently the biggest of all Airbus planes, Alexander Bocharov, press manager of the Moscow-based Airbus office, told the Military News Agency on Tuesday.
Currently the company has the volume of orders amounted at the over 4,250 planes of various types from 180 companies of the world. 12 planes of the Airbus series are used in Russia. The company is the leading one among the producers of the aircraft transport civil planes with the number of places amounted at 100. The shairholders of the company headquartered in Toulouse are the BAE Systems and EADS which means the European airspace and defence system. The EADS bench is one of the biggest at the Paris Air Show. Apart from the A-340-600 plane the company exhibits two corporate planes which are A-360ST Beluga supertransporter which has the biggest cargo compartment among the all planes in the world as well as the A-360 cargo plane.
