ST.PETERSBURG, June 19 (AVN) - The Valentin Pukul guard ship produced by the local Almaz Shipyard JS at the request from the Federal Border Guard Service (FBGS) will make its control sail to the Gulf of Finland, a spokesman for the shipyard administration told the Military News Agency on Tuesday.
The sail will end the state tests. The signing of the commissioning contract is planned for Friday and Rear Admiral Vyacheslav Serzhanin, first deputy chief of the FBGS naval guard department, will arrive at the shipyard to sign the contract.
The guard ship is the Project 10410 vessel (NATO classification Firefly). Its displacement is 375t, the length of 49.5 metres and the speed is up to 32 knots. The producers guarantee the safe sailing in the storm of seven points. The Valentin Pikul will carry out its patrol service in the Astrakhan naval brigade of the North Caucasus regional department of the FBGS.
