MOSCOW, June 22 (AVN) - The state tests of the Valentin Pikul guard ship produced by the Almaz shipyard at the order from the Federal Border Guard Service (FBGS) will end in the Gulf of Finland on Friday, a spokesman for the FBGS naval guard department told the Military News Agency.
According to data obtained from the ship, the voyage is going in the regular regime and the vessel will return to the shipyard on Friday evening. The commissioning act will be signed by the permanent committee on commissioning Navy ships and the shipyard after analysing results of Friday's control voyage. The ship will be handed to border guards in the middle of the next week.
The exact date on the flag-raising ceremony on board the Valentin Pikul will be announced after the commissioning act is delivered to Moscow and FBGS Director Konstantin Totsky signs a corresponding order.
