TASHKENT, June 26 (AVN) - Uzbek Defence Minister Kadyr Gulyamov met Rear Admiral Albert Calland, Commander, US Special Forces Command Central, here on Tuesday, a spokesman for the Uzbek Defence Ministry told the Military News Agency.
The two men discussed plans of training Uzbek military pilots in US aircraft training centres, the spokesman said. According to experts, it means that Uzbekistan does not rule out purchases of US aircraft for its Air Force in the future.
The Uzbek Air Forces has only been using Soviet and Russian planes and helicopters so far.
