RUSSIAN SC SEC, US AMBASSADOR TO RUSSIA MEET IN MOSCOW'S KREMLIN

MOSCOW, June 26 (AVN) - Russian Security Council Secretary Vladimir Rushailo met US Ambassador to Russia James Collins in Moscow's Kremlin, the Military News Agency learned on Tuesday.

During the meeting both officials discussed a wide scale of issues on Russian-US relations including several international problems. Both of them praised the results of the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President George W. Bush in Slovenian capital Ljubljana who took place recently. Rushailo and Collins agreed that the meeting could be considered to be the important historical event in the Russian-US cooperation in the 21st century. The meeting had the signifciant meaning for both countries on the way to constructive, pragmatic and predictable cooperation, Rushailo said.

Rushailo and Collins also exchnaged opinions on the development prospects of Russian-US dialogue in the sphere of strengthening strategic stability, estabishing even more close economic cooperation and constructive decision of main regional problems. Both officials confirmed the imporance of constant contacts between Russian Security Council secretary and US President aide on national defence as well.

Rushailo thanked Collins who is about to complete his mission in Russia for his enormous work in the interests of the many-sided cooperation between both countries. According to Rushailo, the most praising fact of Collins's personal input is the fruitful development of cooperation between law-enforcement agencies of both countries which resulted in liberation of hostages and detection of hi-tech crimes.
