KHANKALA, June 28 (AVN) - Sappers of the railway troops found and disarmed three pressure landmines during a control check of the railway span between Argun and Kadi-Yurt, a spokesman for the unified federal headquarters told the Military News Agency on Thursday.
Several hours later a patrol checking the railway found damage of the tracks and prevented accident of a repair car that transported a four-strong brigade.
Military railroaders had to strengthen the guard of the railway, because about 30km of railway roads are made dead every day because of the theft of non-ferrous metals. Two people trying to cut off a power cable have been detained 5km west of Grozny during the past 24 hours.
