ARMED FORCES REAR CHIEF TO SUM UP RESULTS OF SIBERIAN DISTRICT INSPECTION

CHITA, Southern Siberia, July 4 (AVN) - Colonel General Vladimir Isakov, commander of the Armed Forces rear and deputy defence minister, has arrived in Chita to complete inspection of the Siberian military district, a spokesman for the district headquarters said on Wednesday.

Isakov is accompanied by officers and generals of the Defence Ministry's central administration who carry out a planned complex revision of the district's financial and economic activity, the spokesman told the Military News Agency.

Prior to his arrival in Chita, Isakov visited the Novosibirsk military garrison, where he heard reports of rear services commanders of the Siberian military district and Siberian air force and air defence district. Besides, he checked activities of the rear services in the motorised rifle brigade, stationed in the town of Yurga, Kemerovo region.

In Novosibirsk Isakov met Leonid Drachevsky, President Vladimir Putin's envoy to the Siberian federal district. He was accompanied on his trip by Colonel General Vladimir Boldyrev, commander of the Siberian military district, the spokesman said.

The rear commander is also planning to visit several military units and check rear installations in Chita, as well as in the villages of Yasnaya and Tiksi. He will sum up revision results at a session of the district's military council on Saturday.
