RF SECURITY COUNCIL DEPUTY SECRETARY INSPECTING KALININGRAD REGION

MOSCOW, June 4 (AVN) - Russian Security Council Deputy Secretary Vladimir Potapov went to the Kaliningrad region on Wednesday, a spokesman for the Security Council told the Military News Agency.

The aim of the visit is preparation of materials for the next Security Council session, where prospects of development of the Kaliningrad region are to be discussed. During several days Potapov and a specialists group of the Security Council will get acquainted with the situation in the region, analyse practice of realisation of the Federal purpose development programme of the Special economic zone in the Kaliningrad region for 1998 to 2005. Besides, Potapov intends to get acquainted thoroughly with the legal, economic, diplomatic, organisation and information measures, which are taken in the interest of this most important geopolitical region of Russia.
