MOSCOW, July 5 (AVN) - Deputy Director of the Federal Tax Police Service Valery Pavlov took office on Thursday, a spokesman for the service's information and public relations department told the Military News Agency.
Pavlov was born in 1953. He graduated from the Moscow Bauman Technical University and All-USSR Extramural Financial Economic Institute with the diploma in economics. His first job was foreman at a defence industry enterprise. He is a candidate of economic sciences.
In 1993 Pavlov was elected member of the Moscow city legislature. In 1995 he joined the tax inspection. He worked as deputy and first deputy head of the State Tax Service. Before joining the tax police he was deputy minister of taxes and duties.
