KHANKALA, July 10 (AVN) - Federal SU-24 Fencer and SU-25 Frogfoot planes were grounded in Chechnya since Monday while an AN-30 Clank air scout flew a sortie, a spokesman for the unified federal headquarters told the Military News Agency.
MI-24 Hind fire support helicopters convoyed four columns and inflicted two missile strikes on an extremist observation point and a strongpoint. 12 missions were accomplished to control the situation on the routes of military and civil transport. MI-8 Hip and MI-26 Halo helicopters airlifted 81 people and 17t of cargo in the interests of the federal group and at the requests from local administrations.
IL-18 Coot and AN-26 Curl planes delivered 197 people and 14t of technical cargo to Mozdok, the main federal base in the North Caucasus, and back to central Russia.
