TBILISI, July 23 (AVN) - Russian Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov will make an official visit to Georgia by the end of 2001, Georgian Defence Minister David Tevzadze told reporters on Monday.
Georgian military "establish interesting and constructive relations with their Russian colleagues after the leadership renewal in the Russian Defence Ministry," Tevzadze said. Ivanov already experessed several promising proposals on the development of Russian-Georgian co-operation in the military sphere. "Those proposals will be discussed in details during Ivanov's visit to Georgia," Tevzadze added.
Georgian Defence Minister refused to comment on the concrete terms of Ivanov's visit.
