MINSK, July 24 (AVN) - The Minsk prime mover plant has started implementation of the order for production of 90 chassis intended for carrying the S-125 Pechora modernised surface-to-air missile (SAM) system, a spokesman for the plant administration said on Tuesday.
It is the first large-scale order received by the plant under the auspices of the Defence Systems international financial and industrial group. The plant joined the group in 2000. The order's implementation will help the enterprise strengthen its financial situation, speed up the technological modernisation of several production sections, and gain more funds for development of new civil- and special-purpose products.
