MOSCOW, July 25 (AVN) - Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov has ordered the Ministry of Industry, Science and Trade to back up activity of the Russian government's representative in the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR), the government information department reported on Wednesday.
The ministry was ordered to ensure payment of Russia's contribution to the institute. It is to team up with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Finance to draft a regulation on the government's representative and on the order of contribution payment within a month.
Kasyanov ordered the Finance Ministry to provide USD5bn to the Ministry of Industry, Science and Technologies for payment of Russia's contribution to the JINR.
The institute is located in the town of Dubna some 100km north of Moscow.
