CHITA, Southern Siberia, July 30 (AVN) - A meeting of the leadership of the Siberian military district together with wide-scale tactical exercise of motorised rifle regiment with live firing led by Colonel General Vladimir Boldyrev, commander of the district, took place in the district on Monday, a spokesman for the district headquarters told the Military News Agency.
The tactical exercise accomplshed combat tasks on covering the state border in the most important operation direction in a special period of time.
The permanent readiness regiment having a lot of reinforcement means acted in a difficult and dramatically changing tactical situation. Combat launch of the Tochka missile system was carried out in the interest of the regiment, landing and airborne troops, frontline and army aviation took part in the exercise as well. The exercise was fully used as a large methodical and show operation which invovlved the headquarters and district administration leadership, command including colonel link, as well as military commissars of the district regions.
A course of lectures was read to over 300 commanders and heads of different levels and five-hour practical exercise on methods of organisation of regiment-size tactical exercise with live firing was held on the territory.
