ROSTOV-ON-DON, August 3 (AVN) - Alexander Korobeinikov, Russian President Vladimir Putin's deputy envoy to the Southern federal district, left for Moscow to report at a Russian Security Council session on the terrorism combating in the district, a spokesman for the envoy administration said on Friday.
Korobeinikov will report on the plan of measures which were developed after the analysis of situations with bus capturing in the town of Mineralnye Vody, blast of a bridge across the Kuban River in Karachayevo-Cherkesia, etc., the spokesman told the Military News Agency. The analysis was carried out by Viktor Kazantsev, Putin's envoy to the district. The majority of those measures are related to improvement of activities of law-enforcers in the district's republics, regions and territories aimed at security provision in the district.
Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Nikolai Patrushev will hold an session of the unified federal group headquarters in the town of Yessentuki on Friday. The participants will discuss the group's activities in Chechnya and measures for combating terrorism beyond the group's area of responsibility. Leaders of the North Caucasus republics, territories and regions are supposed to take part in the session.
