BELARUSSIAN ARMED FORCES TO TEST ENGINEERING EQUIPMENT MADE IN RUSSIA

MINSK, August 7 (AVN) - The Belarussian Armed Forces plan to hold combat tests of new camouflage means produced in Russian during the wide-scale tactical training which is to take place in August 26 to September 3, Colonel Sergei Luchina, chief of the Belarussian Armed Forces engineering troops, said on Tuesday.

The preliminary agreement on the matter is reached with Colonel General Nikolai Serdtsev, chief of the Defence Ministry engineering troops, and now the Belarussian party is waiting for approval from Russian Chief-of-Staff Anatoly Kvashnin, Luchina told the Military News Agency.

During the training the participants will particularly, practise new systems which help quickly deploy models faking S-300 missile systems, MIG-29 Fulcrum and SU-27 Flanker fighters, tanks, etc. Moreover, they will practise the special vehicle which help build models of combat equipment from congealing foam. Some of those means will be used for establishment of special masking regiment which is to be established in the Belarussian army, Luchina added.
