REBELS KILL FOUR POLICEMEN DURING PAST WEEK IN CHECHNYA

KHANKALA, August 10 (AVN) - Rebels have killed four policemen during the past week in Chechnya, a spokesman for the unified federal headquarters told the Military News Agency on Friday.

The spokesman stresses that rebel increase terror against those who help federals in Chechnya. Servicemen registered 42 attacks including seven in Grozny on federal formations and installations during the past week. As many as 11 explosions including two in Grozny took place in Chechnya. The highest rebel activity is registered in the Shali, Gudermes, Shelkovsky districts of the republic as well as in the Leninsky district of Grozny.
