BORDER GUARD SERVICE OFFICIALS START TRAINING IN MOSCOW REGION

MOSCOW, August 14 (AVN) - A training and methodological session of the Federal Border Guard Service (FBGS) unit commanders started at the FBGS Golitsyno military institute in the Moscow region on Tuesday, a spokesman for the FBGS told the Military News Agency.

The session involves over 200 generals and officers from all straps of Russian state border as well as those guarding outer CIS borders in Tajikistan and Armenia.

FBGS Director Konstantin Totsky will deliver a report on Wednesday to chiefs of territorial departments, border guard detachments, commanders of naval guard, border control, aircraft and other units and formations participating in the session. He will speak on the situation in the federal border protection sphere and measures aimed at defending national interests on the border.

The session will last for about a week and its participants will be informed on the FBGS leadership's requirements to the main spheres of troops activities at the current stage.
