KHANKALA, August 20 (AVN) - Clan criminal groups in Chechnya continue redistributing spheres of influence in the oil business, a spokesman for the Chechen chief military commandant's administration told the Military News Agency on Monday.
A conflict between clans of Aslan Maskhadov and Akhmad Kadyrov is escalating in the Kurchaloi and Alleroi villages of the Kurchaloi district. The clans are contesting control over oil wells located in the area. In order to exercise pressure on their competitors and finally take control over oil extraction members of Kadyrov's clan kidnapped about 10 men of Maskhadov's clan in Alleroi, said the spokesman.
