PACIFIC FLEET MIXED FORCES TO HOLD TRAINING AUGUST 28-29

VLADIVOSTOK, August 21 (AVN) - The Pacific Fleet mixed forces exercise led by Maritime Flotilla Commander Vice Admiral Yevgeny Litvinenko will take place in the Pyotr Veliky Bay near Vladivostok on August 28 and 29, a spokesman for the fleet headquarters told the Military News Agency on Tuesday.

Currently the forces personnel is preparing equipment for carrying out combat practices and is practicing live firing tactics on the coast. The exercise is to involve the Admiral Vinogradov and Admiral Panteleyev large anti-submarine ships, other surface vessels, submarines and aviation together with coastal forces. The main aim of the exercise will be practising of the vessel crews' actions in the oceanic zone in the modern naval combat conditions.
