MOSCOW, August 21 (AVN) - Deep sea divers completed making the 18th technological opening in the rigid hull of the dead Kursk nuclear submarine overnight to Tuesday, a spokesman for the Navy Staff told the Military News Agency.
Moreover, the divers dismantled a fragment cut in the light hull of the submarine near the 3rd compartment where the chartroom, chemical control post and automatic systems are located.
The works are stopped again due to a considerable increase of the wind speed to 26 to 28 m/s and of the sea swell to six to seven points. The divers are currently at the Mayo special vessel.
