KIEV, August 22 (AVN) - Secretary of the Russian Security Council Vladimir Rushailo met Secretary of the Ukrainian National Defence and Security Council Yevgeny Marchuk here on Wednesday to discuss a broad spectrum of issues, primarily in the sphere of national security.
The two officials stressed the importance of regular contacts between the Security Councils and shared opinions on the prospects of bilateral co-operation development. They agreed that the dialogue between the Russian and Ukrainian presidents contributes to maintenance of mutual regional and global security.
Rushailo was invited to Kiev by Marchuk in accordance with the protocol on co-operation between administrations of the two councils. He will attend celebrations of the 10th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
