MAJOR ARMS TRADER'S DELEGATION ENDS VISIT TO BASHKORTOSTAN REPUBLIC

MOSCOW, August 24 (AVN) - A delegation of the Rosoboronexport state-owned arms trader led by the company's director general Andrei Belyaninov will end a two-day visit to the Bashkortostan autonomous republic on Friday, the Rosoboronexport press service reported.

The delegation met Bashkortostan President Murtaza Rakhimov and Prime Minister Rafael Baidavletov and held a conference with leaders of local defence industry enterprises. Particularly, the conference participants stressed that the arms trader was taking concrete measures on improvement of ways and schemes of co-operation with military equipment producers. Rosoboronexport has to debts to defence industry enterprises located in the republic, the papticipants noted.

The final protocol of the meeting defined further ways of co-operation aimed at enhancing exports of military purpose products and boosting support to the republic's defence enterprises. The protocol praised activities of the arms trader's regional office

During its visit the delegation studied activities of several local defence enterprises such as the Ufa engine-building production enterprise, Vityaz JS and Kumertau aircraft production enterprise.
