MOSCOW, August 31 (AVN) - Navy Commander Vladimir Kuroyedov flew to Severomorsk on Friday, a spokesman for Kuroyedov's administration told the Military News Agency.
Due to the start of the active stage of the Kursk submarine recovery Kuroyedov will personally check the readiness of all means and forces of the Northern Fleet for the operation. After that he will head for the operation area to check the work of the fleet's special expedition headquarters located on board the Admiral Chabanenko large anti-submarine ship and visit the Carrier special barge in order to study preparations for separating the Kursk's first compartment.
