CONFERENCE ON COMBATING CORRUPTION IN SOUTHERN RUSSIA TO TAKE PLACE FRIDAY

Moscow, September 5 (AVN) - An international research and practical conference on combating corruption in southern Russia will take place in the city of Rostov-on-Don on Friday, a spokesman for the Rostov region administration told the Military news Agency.

The conference will involve officials of CIS and Western European law-enforcement and tax bodies, scientists and politicians. Mikhail Fetisov, Russian President Vladimir Putin's envoy to the Southern federal district, Sergei Apatenko, deputy chairman of the State Duma lower house of parliament on CIS issues, and Mikhail Gorny, executive director of the St. Petersburg strategy centre and leader of the anti-corruption programme, will deliver reports at the event.
