Russia to tell USA about CDs found in Chechnya

MOSCOW. Sept 17 (Interfax-AVN) - The content of compact disks found in a Chechen village, which contained a technical description of the Boeing 737 airplane, a pilot's manual and an electronic map of Chechnya, will be immediately brought to the notice of U.S. authorities, Moscow sources said.

This information might be given on Monday to U.S. Under Secretary of State John Bolton, who is visiting Moscow, military and diplomatic sources in the Russian capital told Interfax.

The planes that crashed in New York and Washington last week were Boeing 737's.

Earlier, the Chechen branch of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said two compact disks had been found in a cache in the Chechen village of Tsotsin-Yurt.

One of the CDs contained a technical description of the Boeing 737 and a pilot's manual, the other a map of Chechnya. Equipment for making forged documents was found in the same cache.

The FSB public relations centre confirmed to Interfax that the CDs had been found, but made no comment.
