APCs of Russian Interior Ministry troops come under fire in Chechnya, three wounded

GROZNY. Sept 19 (Interfax-AVN) - Unidentified gunmen fired automatic weapons and grenade launchers at two armored personnel carriers belonging to the Russian Interior Ministry forces at about 16.00 Moscow time (1200 GMT) on Tuesday, the Grozny military commandant's office told Interfax on Wednesday.

According to updated information, the convoy was carrying a reconnaissance unit of the Interior Ministry troops. Three servicemen wounded in the firing have been taken to the hospital, the commandant's office said.
