Moscow has no doubt that Chechen warlord Gelayev is in Georgia - Kremlin aide

MOSCOW. Sept 28 (Interfax-AVN) - Top Kremlin aide Sergei Yastrzhembsky has said, "we have never doubted that Gelayev [Chechen field commander Ruslan Gelayev] and his militants are in Georgia."

In an interview with Mayak-24 radio on Friday, he also stressed, "if information that the Georgian authorities are expelling Gelayev proved true, this would be a real contribution to the joint fight against terrorism."

In this context, Yastrzhembsky quoted the Georgian ambassador to Russia as saying, "the Georgian authority will hand over 13 militants who are now in custody in Georgia."
