MOSCOW. Oct 2 (Interfax-AVN) - Iranian Defense Minister Ali Shamkhani said Tehran will support the bombing of terrorist bases in Afghanistan only if the international community supports it.
"If it is supported by the international community and the UN, we, naturally, will support this action," Shamkhani told reporters after his negotiations with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov in Moscow on Tuesday.
At the same time, Shamkhani stressed that "one can make a decision on how to fight terrorism only in a healthy society that is not controlled by superpowers."
"There are a great many terrorist bases in the world, [and] the university of terrorism is Israel, and the teacher of terrorism is Ariel Sharon," the Iranian defense minister said.
