TBILISI. Oct 3 (Interfax-AVN) - Presidents Eduard Shevardnadze of Georgia and Ahmet Necdet Sezer of Turkey had a telephone conversation of Wednesday to discuss possible actions of their states in the framework of the international anti-terrorist operation being prepared by the United States and its allies.
The conversation took place before Shevardnadze's departure for the United States, where he is planning to negotiate on Caucasus problems with his U.S. counterpart George W. Bush, the presidential press service told Interfax-Military News Agency.
The Georgian and Turkish leaders considered regional security and stability. Shevardnadze stressed that Georgia was mobilising all its forces to take part in the global anti-terrorist drive.
The Georgian president invited Sezer to visit Tbilisi on a date that the latter considered convenient, the press service said.
