SUKHUMI. Oct 4 (Interfax-AVN) - Additional units of the Abkhazian army, including artillery and armored vehicles, have been transferred to near the village of Georgiyevskoye in the Gulripsh district, which was seized by Chechen and Georgian guerillas on Wednesday, the Abkhazian Defense Ministry told Interfax.
"The guerillas are continuing to reinforce their strongholds in the village," the Defense Ministry said, adding that an operation to liberate the village may begin shortly.
