Mountain paths leading from Georgia to Ingushetia, Chechnya mined

VLADIKAVKAZ. Oct 10 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian military has taken measures to prevent rebels from moving from Georgia into Ingushetia and Chechnya.

"The paths that can be used by Chechen rebel groups in the Dzheyrakh and adjacent gorges" have been mined, the headquarters of the 58th army of the North Caucasian military district stationed in North Ossetia told Interfax on Wednesday.

In addition, the units of the Russian Federal Border Guard Service located in that area have been put on combat readiness.
