MOSCOW. Oct 10 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia will send a new consignment of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan shortly.
One Il-76 Candid cargo plane will take off from Moscow for Kulyab, Tajikistan Thursday morning and another on Friday morning, an Emergencies Ministry official told Interfax on Wednesday. The planes will deliver 100 ten-person tents, 47 twenty-person tents, 4,000 blankets and medicines. The ministry has already sent five planes with more than 130 tonnes of foodstuffs, tents, warm clothing and blankets.
Trucks will bring the humanitarian cargo from Kulyab to the northern provinces of Afghanistan.
