Finnish inspectors find no violations of Vienna Document in Russia

ST.PETERSBURG. Oct 11 (Interfax-AVN) - A Finnish inspection party exposed no violations of the Vienna Document 1999 while checking an aircraft regiment of the 37th Air Force army (long-range aviation), an officer of the Leningrad military district said on Thursday.

Lieutenant Colonel Artur Terziyan, senior officer of the district's treaties implementation department, told Interfax-Military News Agency that the Finnish inspectors had visited the military airfield in Soltsy, Novgorod region, where TU-22M3 Backfire long-range bombers are based. Their conclusion is that Russia fully meets its obligations under the Vienna Document.
