KALININGRAD. Oct 12 (Interfax-AVN) - Major General Sergei Kirichenko, head of the police department in Russia's westernmost Kaliningrad region, is rounding up his visit to Lithuania, the department press centre said on Friday.
Kirichenko is making the visit at the invitation of the Lithianian police commissioner general, a press centre official told Interfax-Military News Agency. The parties exchanged opinions and concluded that they have no contradictions and their stance on the majority of law-enforcement problems in the Baltic region are very close.
The two officials signed a co-operation agreement at the end of the meeting. According to Kirichenko, the Lithianian police possess a lot of data that is of interest to the Kaliningrad region.
Heads of services and units in the Kaliningrad police are expected to meet their Lithuanian colleagues in the near future to establish a regular data exchange, the official said.
