LANGKAVI, Malaysia. Oct 12 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Antei consortium is demonstrating the best air defence systems such as S-300V, Antei-3500, Tor-M1 as well as a wide spectrum of dual purpose products at the LIMA 2001 show.
The products exhibited by Antei at the bench of the Rosoboronexport state-owned arms trader can be used by the Armed Forces as well as in the civil sphere.
The Baryer-M, Strazh-S and Granitsa security systems attract the greatest interest among visitors of the show.
The Baryer-M system is intended for guarding extremely important installations such as nuclear power plants, oil and explosives stocks, etc. The system creates a bell-shaped vacuum area which is controlled by meters of four different types. As a result any object, no matter how complicated it is or in what natural or climate conditions the system is operating, will be detected.
The Strazh-S system is used at large territories such as seashore, desert land or airports. It is capable of detecting minor objects, including people, at the range of up to 8km and large ones at the range of up to 45km.
The Granitsa system consists of two to 20 posts which transmit information to a single board. That is why it can be used to protect large territories of state border, control sea territories, etc.
