Kazakhstan planning to sell weapons worth USD13.5m in 2002

ASTANA. Oct 17 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - Kazakhstan is planning to receive KZT2bn (USD13.51m) from weapons sales in 2002, Kazakh Deputy Defense Minister Zhannat Ertlesova told a news conference in Astana on Wednesday.

The average budget revenue from the sale of weapons and military equipment has been KZT1bn (USD6.76m) over the past four years, she said.
