MOSCOW. Oct 18 (Interfax-AVN) - A delegation of the State Duma lower house of Russian parliament led by Deputy Speaker Vladimir Lukin will visit Tajikistan on October 24 to 29, Alexei Arbatov, a delegation member and deputy chairman of the Duma defence committee, said on Thursday.
In spite of the fact that the visit takes place under the auspices of the programme on development of Russian-Tajik interparliamentary relations three days of the delegation's visit will be devoted to the problems of Russian servicemen who operate in the republic.
The lawmakers plan to meet the leadership of the Russian border guard group in Tajikistan, visit the Tajik-Afghan border as well as units of the 201st motorised rifle division and a separate aircraft regiment stationed in Dushanbe.
